There\’s a storm brewin\’ on Water Street in Downtown Henderson. The soon-to-be-open Public Works Coffee Bar is at the heart of this culture boom. Public Works is housed on the first floor in the newest building in downtown, 314 S Water Street. It is also home to TSK Architects which should not come as a surprise considering the design of the facility, including the stellar interior of Public Works. Owned and operated by Henderson local, Annelisa Polk, this beautiful café has concrete floors and steel framed wooden tables with notes of special details throughout, creating a modern yet welcoming interior with a nod to vintage America. But great décor isn\’t the only thing that makes Public Works a must-visit. Their coffee is arguably the best in town as they partner with local roasters, Mothership Coffee. This family, pet, and community friendly space boasts bites from Mad Batter and Chef Flemming’s, brews from Lovelady and a solid wine selection. Side note – their community conference room is by far the most inspiring place for anyone to use as their home office, meetings and study sessions.
“With the goal of transforming downtown Henderson into a thriving community destination, a great coffee shop is a wonderful first step. Our hope is that the people of Henderson will look forward to each visit at Public Works Coffee Bar,” says Polk.
Public Works Coffee Bar plans to open their doors to the community early August. Keep your eyes peeled and stay up to date via social media, @publicworkscoffeebar or info@publicworkscoffee.com.
