Yes, small brick and mortar shops appreciate your patronage on the Saturday after Thanksgiving….BUT why should it be a one-day-a-year event? Do we not appreciate being able to browse through small towns and visit unique shops? Are we not amazed at the unique items we find there? Do we not enjoy the taste of home-made pastries found at local bakeries or a good cup of coffee from a local coffee house? Many people on Shop Small Saturday are left in a daze not knowing where to honor that one day a year. Well check out that home town feeling right in our back yard – Water Street in Downtown Henderson has all that you\’re looking for. Great food from Straight from Philly Cheesesteaks, to coffee at The Coffee House, pastries at Chef Fleming\’s Bake Shop, lunch at Coo-Coo\’s Deli or Rose Garden Chinese, and frankly, you wouldn\’t believe the great affordable meals you can get at the local Casinos, such as Rainbow, Emerald Island and The Eldorado\’s Mary\’s Cafe with award winning chefs at each them.
